Gateway Development Cruises Into Top Gear
Signature development less than seven days away from official launch

FINAL preparations are now underway for the unveiling of the Broadhall’s flagship development, One Talbot Gateway. Over 120 guests are expected at the official opening by Minster for Economic Development and Transport Andrew Davies AM on Thursday 26th June.

Situated at the entrance to Baglan Energy Park in Port Talbot, One Talbot Gateway is the latest in a string of developments undertaken by Chepstow based Broadhall, following the completion of the sister development at Celtic Springs, Newport. The multi-million pound building is the first phase of a planned development at Baglan which will eventually comprise a cluster of office buildings.

The forthcoming official launch will be themed around motor sport. A prize draw for two VIP tickets to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and a second prize of a day’s Rallying will round off the official proceedings. Each guest has been sent a series of jigsaw pieces, depicting the building at different stages of construction. The finished jigsaws will be entered into the prize draw and the winner will be picked at random.

Easily sub divisible with half or full floors available, One Talbot Gateway covers 50,000 sq. ft. and has been designed to reflect the highest architectural standards and will provide flexible accommodation for either a customer contact operation or for traditional office use.

Located adjacent to the M4 motorway, junctions 41 & 42, Talbot Gateway provides the highest levels of specification, ensuring both comfort and practicality for occupants. Michael Davies, Managing Director of Broadhall explained: “This is a highly visible prestigious site and we have delivered a high quality architecturally designed building to reflect the prominent location.

“Among the unique characteristics of the building are an impressive full building height glazed atrium reception area and sheltered entrance. The raised floors and comfort cooling provide a flexible and comfortable environment ideal for a range of investors or tenants. With over 200 car parking spaces, state of the art telecommunications/broadband infrastructure and excellent proximity to road, rail, sea and air networks, this building has been designed to act as a prestigious company headquarters.

“We hope that the building will lead the way for the remainder of the development and help to firmly place Baglan Energy Park as a centre of business excellence and innovation.”

Built on three floors, One Talbot Gateway has been arranged as two wings either side of a dramatic central atrium foyer, which is contained within a glazed rotunda. The second floor of the building has panoramic views of the Port Talbot skyline and lush green countryside surroundings.

Michael Davies added: ”I am delighted that this development is now ready for occupation and am optimistic that One Talbot Gateway will shortly become the best place to do business in Port Talbot. This is a development which highlights the powerful partnerships between Broadhall Hampton, the National Assembly, the Welsh Development Agency and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, coupled with the assistance of BP Chemicals and Team Baglan.”

Joint commercial property agents for One Talbot Gateway are Knight Frank and Hutchings & Thomas.
